brick walls break things not people

Just because you can’t say it in Michigan, doesn’t mean nature can’t scream it. It’s a beautiful thing the way nature creates curves, lines and shadows exactly where they should be.

these photograms were made after a small hiatus from the darkroom, i spent some time in new mexico, exploring the land exploring my thoughts and reconnecting to myself. I’ve missed you tumblr but now I’m back. check back in the next few days, this is just the beginning….

Vol. 7: Jackie Orozco - “A View From Above”

jealously binds itself to your heart, leaves you looking ugly….watch out.                      trees have feelings too, but if no one saw it happening did it really happen?

Small thoughts in a big forest.

These pictures are from a daytrip to Monticello, IL. Where I went to meet up with a fellow photographer and his seriously hardcore large format photography group. What an enjoyable time seeing them really set up each individual shot, it literally takes about 20 mins to set up each shot with each picture costing about $4.00 a shot, boy those 20 minutes were well used, but the end result which I saw weeks later were truly something spectacular. The clarity that large format cameras lend to the photograph makes up for the cost of the whole camera. Next up a daytrip to Chesterton, IN with large format photographers to check out all the work from the Monticello trip….possibilties of converting to large format: very strong!!! stay tuned

I wish…

…more ‘chingonas’ would do what you’re doing. Sharing, inspiring and producing work for future generations. Thank you, Jackie, for your art. It’s beautiful
